Jimmy Kimmel Set As 2016 Emmy Awards Host

The 2016 Emmy Awards ceremony will be hosted by the same comedian who led the 2012 show.

ABC confirmed Monday that Jimmy Kimmel, who hosts its flagship “Jimmy Kimmel Live” late night show, will return as host.

The network’s announcement serves to confirm rumors that had been circulating since last month.

This year’s show — the 68th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony — will air on September 18.
