Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” Crosses the 500K US Sales Mark

Already certified gold based on its digital unit total (paid downloads + streams/100), Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” this week crossed the 500,000 pure sales mark.

While final data for the August 7-13 tracking week is not yet available, enough insight is available to conclude that “Stitches” now boasts a cumulative US sales total in excess of 500,000.

Per Republic, total going into the tracking week was 471,606. Since it sold at least 40,000 copies during the aforementioned August 7-13 frame, it comfortably crossed 500,000.

Cut from “Handwritten,” “Stitches” is Mendes’ third RIAA-certified single. His breakthrough “Life of the Party” is platinum, and “Something Big” is officially gold.
