Hailee Steinfeld’s “Love Myself” Scores iHeartRadio “On the Verge” Boost

Hailee Steinfeld’s effort to become a bona fide music superstar will receive support from a very powerful program.

During Tuesday’s iHeartMedia Music Summit, news emerged that Steinfeld’s debut single “Love Myself” has been selected as the next iHeartRadio “On the Verge” song.

The program, which assisted in the launch of smash pop hits like Tove Lo’s “Habits” and Nick Jonas’ “Jealous,” provides guaranteed airplay on the iHeartMedia network of stations.

While it has not always been successful in creating lasting hits — songs like Katy Tiz’ “The Big Bang” and Nate Ruess’ “Nothing Without Love” effectively died once the program ended — “On the Verge” provides songs with a coveted opportunity to connect.

“Love Myself” officially impacts the pop format on August 11. The “On the Verge” start date has yet to be announced.
