Its sales pace has notably slowed, but Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” is rapidly establishing a presence at radio.
Over the seven days ending August 15, the new release ranked as the #25 song at rhythmic radio, the #38 song at pop stations and the #47 song at the urban format.
Per Mediabase, “Anaconda” garnered 1,284 rhythmic spins during the aforementioned period. Ranked #25 for airplay, the song claims an even more impressive ranking for audience. The song’s rhythmic audience impression count of 8.23 million ranked as the 20th-largest during the August 9-15 window.
At pop, “Anaconda” flies into the Top 40 on Saturday’s edition of the chart. Its weekly spin count of 1,141 and audience impression total of 4.85 million rank both rank as the 38th-largest at pop.
While it is enjoyed a very small gain in airplay at urban radio this week, it still advanced on the airplay chart. Between August 9-15, “Anaconda” garnered 418 spins and 2.72 million audience impressions to rank as the #47 song for airplay and the #36 song for audience.
