Former “Two and a Half Men” star Charlie Sheen looks to have put the heckling and critical panning in his rear view.
After Sheen was basically booed off stage for the opening show in Detroit, the actor has now received two consecutive standing ovations for his “My Violent Torpedo of Truth” show.
Headlining in Cleveland Tuesday, Sheen used the old pro wrestling tactic of putting over the local audience. In this case, he came out wearing an Indians jersey and said he wanted to film “Major League 3” in Cleveland.
He also received support for admitting his interest in returning to “Two and a Half Men.” If an apology to showrunner Chuck Lorre is required, he cracked that he is a good enough actor to make the apology convincing.
Sheen, according to THR, also spent a lot of time within the Q&A format that worked well in Chicago.
The strong buzz for his Chicago show this weekend seemed to revive interest in tickets for his show. Tickets for the New York City leg of the tour had fallen below $30 on Stub Hub following the Detroit disaster, but renewed buzz has resulted in the base point moving back above $40.
