Confirming speculation that followed news of her booking for this week’s RAW, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has been added to the card for WWE WrestleMania 27.
The “Jersey Shore” star, who guest starred on Monday’s RAW, will team with Trish Stratus and John Morrison to wrestle Dolph Ziggler and Laycool. There had initially been talk of booking Kelly Kelly as the second female on the babyface team, but WWE evidently decided to use this as a platform for a celebrity crossover.
WWE follows TNA Wrestling in utilizing “Jersey Shore” talent to gain publicity, although “Snooki” is a higher-profile cast member than both Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Angelina.
