After two weeks at #1, Cannons’ “Fire For You” will likely cede its throne at alternative radio. Billie Eilish’s “Therefore I Am” is set to move into the #1 spot on this week’s Mediabase alternative radio chart.
“Therefore I Am” received 2,224 spins during the first six days of the January 24-30 tracking period. Up 6% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Therefore I Am” at #1 on Mediabase’s building/real-time chart.
“Therefore I Am” only has a 48-spin lead over “Fire For You,” but it has the clear momentum advantage. Whereas it is up 6% from last week’s mark, the Cannons song is down nearly 5%. If the songs remain on those rough trajectories through the end of tracking, “Therefore I Am” will secure the #1 position this week.
