Barring a highly unlikely late-week collapse, Matt Maeson’s “Cringe” will grab #1 on this week’s Mediabase alternative radio chart.

The hit single received 2,361 alternative spins during the first five days of the August 11-17 tracking period. Up 9% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Cringe” at #1 on Mediabase’s building/real-time chart.

As it faces no obvious threat from below, “Cringe” should have no trouble retaining its #1 position through the close of tracking.

“Cringe” will be Maeson’s first #1 hit at the alternative radio format.
