One of the most recognizable and successful “Saturday Night Live” cast members in history will soon return to the show as a host.
According to NBC, Adam Sandler will make his “SNL” hosting debut on May 4.
“We are happy to welcome Adam back to ‘SNL’ in what is sure to be a special night,” said executive producer Lorne Michaels.
NBC adds that Shawn Mendes will take the stage as the episode’s musical guest. He will be appearing in that capacity for a second time.
“SNL” continues its current season with host Kit Harington and musical guest Sara Bareilles this weekend. Next weekend’s show will feature Emma Stone and BTS.
