In a rather unsurprising outcome, the music video for Ariana Grande’s “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored” amassed an impressive amount of views in its first week.
More views, in fact, than any other video.
According to YouTube, the official video registered 64.1 million views during the February 8-14 tracking period. The count positions “break up” at #1 on the Global YouTube Music Videos chart.
Pedro Capo & Farruko’s “Calma,” last week’s leader, settles for #2 with 48.3 million.
Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You (featuring Cardi B)” holds at #3 with 42.6 million views, while a view count of 42.1 million lifts Daddy Yankee & Snow’s “Con Calma” to #4.
Down one place, Anuel AA & Karol G’s “Secreto” grabs #5 with 41 million views.
— Not simply the leader on the Music Videos chart, “break up” also claims #1 on the Global Songs chart. It amassed 72.5 million global YouTube streams across official uploads and select fan-generated content.
