Update: She may not have been announced for the show until mid-day, but Ariana Grande still had a big role on Tuesday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
She joined Fallon, Chris Kattan, Horatio Sanz and Tracy Morgan to reprise the famous SNL “I Was It Was Christmas Today” sketch.
She also performed her newly released song “Imagine.”
Videos of both segments follow. Photos from the taping are also embedded.

Up until early Tuesday, NBC was only advertising one guest for the December 18 “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Granted, it was a big one: former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Still, many wondered if NBC would confirm an addition to the lineup. It did — and a big one at that.
At mid-day Tuesday, the network announced that Ariana Grande would be appearing on the episode.
Grande takes the stage as the show-closing musical performer. Earlier in the episode, she joins Jimmy Fallon, Chris Kattan, Tracy Morgan and Horatio Sanz for a reprise of SNL’s classic “I Wish It Was Christmas Today” sketch.
