Halsey released her new single “Without Me” Thursday, and it predictably received a warm welcome from music fans.

The song quickly rocketed into the upper reaches of the US iTunes sales chart. By 12:10AM ET Friday, it was up to #2 on the chart.

Only Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” is currently selling at a faster pace.

Marshmello & Bastille’s “Happier” (#3), Imagine Dragons’ “Natural” (#4), and Avril Lavigne’s “Head Above Water” (#5) also occupy Top 5 positions.

Positioned as a standalone single, “Without Me” serves as the follow-up to Halsey’s final “hopeless fountain kingdom” single “Alone.”
