Chainsmokers Earn Diamond Award For “Closer,” Multi-Platinum Awards For “Don’t Let Me Down,” “Something,” More

The Chainsmokers just received a myriad of new RIAA certifications.

The Chainsmokers just received new digital song certifications for a variety of singles.

The most prominent certification went to the duo’s “Closer (featuring Halsey).” As of September 17, 2018, the smash hit boasts a diamond (10x platinum) certification in the United States.

The award signifies 10 million in US units, with each unit equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Other new certifications include a 6x platinum award for “Don’t Let Me Down (featuring Daya)” (6 million), a 5x platinum award for “Something Just Like This (with Coldplay)” (5 million), a 4x platinum award for “Roses (featuring Rozes)” (4 million), a gold certifications for “Setting Fires,” “Sick Boy,” “The One,” and “Until You Were Gone (with Tritonal, featuring Emily Warren)” (500,000).
