As the 2017-18 television season comes to a close, NBC shares confirmation of a live musical that will air in 2019.
According to a network announcement, “Hair Live!” will air in the spring of 2019.
The musical continues the “Live!” series that began with “The Sound Of Music Live!” and has since included “Peter Pan” and “Hairspray,” as well as this past Easter’s “Jesus Chris Superstar: Live In Concert.”
Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who executive produced each of those live musicals, will return in that capacity for “Hair.”
Casting news and the specific premiere date will be announced in the coming months.
