Katy Perry’s “Firework” Reaches 11x Platinum In US, Three Other Songs Also Receive Updates

Four Katy Perry singles just received new multi-platinum certifications.

The RIAA just issued new multi-platinum certifications to four Katy Perry singles, including her diamond-certified “Firework.”

According to the RIAA, “Firework” reached 11x platinum on February 13, 2018.

The award confirms 11 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Perry also received an 8x platinum award (8 million) for “California Gurls (featuring Snoop Dogg),” a 6x platinum (6 million) honor for “I Kissed A Girl” and a 4x platinum award (4 million) for “Part Of Me.”

With the new certifications, Katy Perry is now credited with 98 million in certified US digital single units. She is the #3 artist on the list; only Rihanna (121 million) and Taylor Swift (106.5 million) have higher unit counts.
