There were several talented performers in this year’s group of “The Voice” contestants.
But for the past several weeks, it has largely felt like a two-artist race. Two contestants have consistently fared well on iTunes, won raves for their performances and generated ample fan enthusiasm.
Those two artists predictably (and justifiably) ranked first and second in this year’s competition.
In the closing moments of Tuesday’s season thirteen finale, host Carson Daly announced Team Blake’s Chloe Kohanski as the winner. Team Adam member Addison Agen finished second in the voting.
Fellow finalists Brooke Simpson (Team Miley) and Red Marlow (Team Blake) finished third and fourth, respectively.
In a recent episode, Shelton touted Kohanski’s voice as the show’s “most iconic” yet.
She is the sixth Team Blake member to claim victory on the show.
