First released in 1994, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has become a modern Christmas classic — a legitimate staple of the holiday season.

It has sold millions of copies, received millions of streams and soundtracked countless holiday parties.

One achievement has proven elusive over its time in the market, however: a Top 10 position on the Billboard Hot 100.

That changes this week. “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has finally cracked the Top 10.

The song, which was #11 last week, improves to #9 this week.

In addition to the annual holiday sales uptick, “AIWFCIY” is performing very well on the streaming front. Coupled with some holiday radio airplay, and its ascent into the Top 10 is as unsurprising as it is historic.
