This week, both songs attained multi-platinum status in the nation.
According to the BPI, “Shake It Off” and “Starboy” earned double platinum awards this week. The certifications confirm 1.2 million in UK units.
“Shake It Off” actually becomes Swift’s first multi-platinum song in the UK.
It is the third for The Weeknd, who also holds 2x platinum singles in “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills.”
