Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” Earns 3x Platinum Certification In US

Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover recently picked up a pair of Emmys for his FX series “Atlanta.”

He also recently earned a triple-platinum certification for one of his singles.

Gambino’s multi-format hit “Redbone” crossed said 3x platinum threshold in the United States.

Issued by the RIAA, the certification confirms 3 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Redbone” peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also enjoyed success at rhythmic, urban and pop radio. It was a #1 hit at the rhythmic format.
