As “Strip That Down (featuring Quavo)” heads into the Top 3 on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart, news comes regarding Liam Payne’s next single.
Quoting a Tweet from a fan account, the artist revealed that “Bedroom Floor” will be released on October 20.
Yep! My new single #BedroomFloor comes out on the 20th October! 👇🏼⏳ https://t.co/ZWEiJm54iU

That date may look familiar to One Direction fans; it is also when Niall Horan plans to release his debut solo album “Flicker.”
In waiting until October 20 to release the new single, Team Payne keeps the door open for “Strip That Down” to reach #1 at pop radio. That achievement currently seems very attainable.
“Strip That Down” is set to reach #3 on this week’s pop chart. It should move comfortably into the Top 2 next week.
From there, its final challenge will be overtaking Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” (which is set to reach #1 this week) before being confronted by competition from below.
Given that it is gaining on “Slow Hands” and still distantly ahead of its closest threat from below (Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do,” which is, like Payne’s song, being promoted by Republic Records), “Strip That Down” should be able to reach the chart’s pinnacle.
