Sunday’s 69th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony began at 8PM ET/5PM PT.

Moments ago, the ceremony distributed its first trophy.

John Lithgow won the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Award for his work in “The Crown.” It was his sixth Emmy Award victory.

Lithgow beat out Jonathan Banks, Jeffrey Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Michael Kelly, David Harbour and Ron Cephas Jones for this year’s prize.
