Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” Goes 2x Platinum In US; Several Songs Also Receive New Certifications

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran received a myriad of new RIAA certifications in August.

His album “Divide” officially reached multi-platinum status, while nine of his songs received new gold, platinum or multi-platinum honors.

Issued on August 31, 2017, the “Divide” honor is of the 2x platinum variety. It confirms 2 million in US album units; each unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

His new song certifications are as follows (note – song units are equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams):
Don’t – 3x platinum (3 million)
Photograph – 3x platinum (3 million)
Lego House – 2x platinum (2 million)
Kiss Me – platinum (1 million)
Perfect – gold (500,000)
Small Bump – gold (500,000)
Bloodstream – gold (500,000)
I’m A Mess – gold (500,000)
One – gold (500,000)
