Update: Just hours before the broadcast, NBC announced that Lorde would appears on Monday’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”
Appear she did! Lorde joined host Seth Meyers for an interview, which included discussions about working with Jack Antonoff and her musical synesthesia.
Later, she took the stage to perform “Perfect Places.”

Prior to Monday afternoon, NBC had only been advertising Maya Rudolph for the July 17 “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”
She is not, however, the only guest on the episode.
Monday’s episode also features an appearance by Lorde.
