In conjunction with the release of her album “hopeless fountain kingdom,” Halsey’s radio single “Now Or Never” reaches a new peak on the Billboard Hot 100.
Up five places, it takes #21 on this week’s chart.
The song concurrently rises to #19 on Radio Songs and #30 on Streaming Songs. It actually falls off the Digital Song Sales subchart, although that is largely due to the “complete my album” policy. If someone (and many Halsey fans did) bought the single and then upgraded to the album, it is treated like them “returning” the single (and thus a negative sale).
While this affects the weekly sales total and position on Digital Song Sales, it does not affect the Hot 100, which only accounts for new single sales.
— As “Now Or Never” enters the Top 25, Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” and Jason Derulo’s “Swalla (featuring Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign)” reach the Top 30.
“Slow Hands” rises five spots to #28. It also jumps to #7 on Digital Song Sales and debuts at #42 on Radio Songs.
“Swalla” enjoys a two-place boost to #29 on the Hot 100. It concurrently ascends to #28 on Streaming Songs but actually slips to #23 on Digital Song Sales.
