Ratings: FOX’s “Empire” Falls To Series Low, “Shots Fired” Dips From Premiere

Empire [FOX]

Final data is available, and it confirms that Wednesday’s “Empire” was the series’ lowest-rated and least-watched installment yet.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, this week’s “Empire” drew a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 6.91 million viewers.

The numbers, which trail the 2.8 rating and 7.95 million viewer mark garnered by last week’s spring premiere, rank as series lows.

The previous lows came for the December 7, 2016 episode, which drew a 2.5 rating and 7.00 million viewers.

Despite the decline (and series low distinction), Wednesday’s “Empire” still won the night in adults 18-49. It was #3 in viewers below “Survivor” and “Criminal Minds.”

— FOX led into “Empire” with “Shots Fired.” It drew a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating and 3.77 million in overall viewership this week; last week’s series premiere posted a 1.1 and 4.70 million.
