The Chainsmokers’ mega-smash “Closer (featuring Halsey)” continues its run as America’s hottest song.
The single claims #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a ninth consecutive week. In doing so, it ties Rihanna’s “Work (featuring Drake)” and Drake’s “One Dance (featuring WizKid & Kyla)” for the longest streak of 2016.
Only the Drake song, which ruled for 10 non-consecutive weeks, has spent more time at #1 this year.
Not simply the hottest overall song, “Closer” remains a top performer on the Digital Song Sales, Streaming Songs, and Radio Songs component charts.
