Already a Top 10 hit at pop radio, Shawn Mendes’ “Treat You Better” is poised to enter the same region on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary chart.
“Treat You Better” garnered 1,784 spins during the first four days of the August 14-20 tracking period. Up 14.4% from the count at this point last week, the tally positions Mendes’ tune at #10 on Mediabase’s building chart.
“Treat You Better” does not face an obvious threat from below and should thus face no difficulty retaining its position through the close of tracking.
The single will become the second Top 10 Hot AC hit for Mendes, who topped the chart earlier this year with “Stitches.”
His Camila Cabello collaboration “I Know What You Did Last Summer” was a Top 10 pop hit but did not make much noise at hot adult contemporary.
