Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Dark Necessities” Leads Active Rock Airplay Chart For Third Week

The lead single from Red Hot Chili Peppers’ recently released “The Getaway” is still the #1 song at active rock radio.

Played ~1,952 times during the July 17-23 tracking period (-59), RHCP’s “Dark Necessities” tops Mediabase’s active rock chart for a third straight week.

Up two places, Chevelle’s “Joyride” ranks as the week’s runner-up. It received ~1,897 weekly spins (+33).

Shinedown’s “Asking For It” holds at #3 with ~1,876 spins (+1), while Volbeat’s “The Devil’s Bleeding Crown” drops two spots to #4. The former multi-week #1 received ~1,792 weekly plays (-131).

Pop Evil’s “Take It All” follows at #5. The song, which was #6 last week, received ~1,313 spins this week (+52).
