A slight loss in weekly airplay does not prevent Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling” from securing a sixth, non-consecutive week atop the Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.
Timberlake’s tune received ~7,172 spins during the July 17-23 tracking week (-71). The count keeps “Can’t Stop The Feeling” at #1 for a third straight week; it enjoyed a separate three-week reign in June.
P!nk’s “Just Like Fire,” which ruled for a week in between the two “Can’t Stop The Feeling” reigns, holds at #2 on this week’s Hot AC chart. It garnered ~6,949 weekly spins (-1).
Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” follows with ~6,787 tracking period plays (+217), while Sia’s “Cheap Thrills (featuring Sean Paul)” remains stationary at #4. The song, which concurrently rises to #1 at pop radio, received ~5,924 weekly Hot AC spins (+673).
Like it did last week, twenty one pilots’ “Ride” holds the #5 position. It posted a weekly spin total of ~4,582 (+419).
