James Bay’s “Hold Back The River,” which hit the Top 15 last year, was recently relaunched at hot adult contemporary radio.

Powered by that renewed push, Bay’s tune returns to the Top 40 on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

Up six places, “River” earns #40 on this week’s chart. It received 407 spins during the July 10-16 tracking week (+198).

— As “Hold Back The River” re-enters the Top 40, Kent Jones’ “Don’t Mind” enters the Top 50. The multi-format hit rises three places to #50 on the strength of its 201 weekly spins (+53).
