Two songs that first made waves at alternative radio will reach new peaks on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary chart.
twenty one pilots’ “Ride” is poised to crack the Top 5 on this week’s listing. X Ambassadors’ “Unsteady” will move into the Top 10.
“Ride” received 3,516 spins during the first six days of the July 10-16 tracking week. Up 16.3% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots twenty one pilots’ single at #5 on the building chart. “Ride” does not face an imminent threat from below and should thus remain in the Top 5 through the close of tracking.
“Unsteady,” which received 2,898 spins during the tracking week’s first six days (+4.2%), is #10 on the building chart. It is also without an imminent threat from below and thus a safe bet to close the week inside the Top 10.
Both songs are follow-ups to #1 Hot AC hits. twenty one pilots previously topped the listing with “Stressed Out,” while X Ambassadors reached the apex with “Renegades.”
