Ratings: “Greatest Hits” Holds In A18-49, Adds Viewers For 1985-1990 Episode

Preliminary ratings data indicates that Thursday’s “Greatest Hits” matched last week’s episode in the adults 18-49 demographic.

It, meanwhile, posted a gain in total viewership.

According to fast national data first posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “Greatest Hits” drew a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 4.44 million total viewers. Last week’s episode posted a 1.0 in the corresponding fast nationals but was adjusted down to a 0.9 with 3.50 million total viewers in the final national report.

Indicative of an older skew, this week’s episode was down in adults 18-34 but way up with adults 25-54, adults 50+ and total audience. The older skew is potentially tied to the episode’s focus; whereas last week’s show celebrated music from 1995-2000, this week’s installment was centered on 1985-1990.

Lead-in also may have played a factor. Whereas last week’s “Greatest Hits” aired out of the younger-skewing “BattleBots” (0.9, 3.45 million), this week’s followed ABC’s older-skewing town hall with President Obama (1.0, 5.76 million).

— Thursday’s ABC lineup also included a “Match Game” re-run (0.8, 3.10 million).
