Twenty One Pilots’ “Ride, “Car Radio” Earn Platinum Certifications In The US

twenty one pilots’ list of 2016 achievements recently got bigger. On July 1, the duo earned two new RIAA certifications in the United States.

twenty one pilots’ “Ride” and “Car Radio” are officially platinum.

The platinum certifications confirm US unit totals of 1 million. A unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

A favorite among veteran fans, “Car Radio” was released prior to the duo’s recent mainstream breakthrough. “Ride,” on the other hand, was released as the follow-up to twenty one pilots’ gamechanging smash “Stressed Out.” The song, which is still rising at pop and hot adult contemporary radio, is inside the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
