“Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” Confirmed As Adele’s New Single

Over the past few weeks, we’ve noted that Adele’s “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” had been gaining traction at the hot adult contemporary radio format.

It actually ranked as one of the format’s 50 most-played songs last week and is on pace to reach the Top 40 this week.

Given that pre-existing (and rapidly growing) support and the song’s radio-ready sound, it should therefore come as no surprise that “Send My Love” has been officially confirmed as the third single from Adele’s “25.”

iHeartRadio first reported the news, noting that the song would formally go for adds on a to-be-determined date in May. As indicated by the aforementioned Hot AC airplay, some stations have no intention of waiting until that official impact date.

“Send My Love” is the follow-up to “When We Were Young,” which peaked at #2 on the hot adult contemporary airplay chart and #11 at pop.

Lead “25” single “Hello” reached #1 at both formats.
