Disturbed’s “The Sound Of Silence” Leads Active Rock Airplay Chart For Sixth Week

The April 3-9 tracking period marked the twelfth week in which Disturbed’s “The Sound Of Silence” appeared on Mediabase’s active rock airplay chart.

It marked the sixth in which it has ranked as the format’s most played song.

The band’s smash hit cover of the Simon and Garfunkel classic again takes #1 on the Mediabase active rock chart.

“The Sound Of Silence” received ~2,021 spins during the aforementioned April 3-9 tracking period. While down by 125 from the previous week’s count, the tally still keeps Disturbed’s song more than 300 spins ahead of the #2 song.

3 Doors Down’s “In The Dark,” again that #2 song, earned ~1,807 tracking week plays (-34). Muse’s “Reapers” follows at #3 with ~1,774 (-22), while Red Sun Rising’s “Emotionless” enjoys a one-place lift to #4. It received ~1,624 spins (+103) and trades places with Bring Me The Horizon’s “Happy Place” (#5, -1 | ~1,567, +41).
