FX’s “The People v. OJ Simpson” Posts Ratings Gain For Finale

On a live+same-day basis, the final episode of FX’s “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story” was the highest rated and most watched installment since episode three.

According to cable data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s extended-length episode drew a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and 3.27 million total viewers.

Up from the 1.1 rating and 2.76 million viewer figures drawn by last week’s broadcast, the numbers were the show’s best since the aforementioned third episode drew a 1.4 and 3.33 million.

Like many of its episodes, Tuesday’s “American Crime Story” was the night’s top cable show in adults 18-49.

A strong live+same-day performer, “The People v. OJ Simpson” has also been receiving big gains from time-shifted viewing.

It was, quite simply, a successful offering for FX.
