Last week, Selena Gomez’ “Hands To Myself” earned a Top 30 position at hot adult contemporary radio.
This week, it will land comfortably within the Top 25.
The third “Revival” single received 785 spins during the first five days of the March 20-26 tracking week. The count, which bests last week’s mark by 34.2%, slots “Hands To Myself” at #24 on Mediabase’s building Hot AC chart.
Absent an obvious threat from below, “Hands To Myself” should not slip below its current position as the chart goes final.
It, in fact, should claim an even better spot on the final chart. Coldplay’s building #23 “Adventure Of A Lifetime,” which is rapidly fading, is set to be removed as as recurrent this week. Even if “Hands” does not leapfrog the song prior to the close of tracking, it will therefore still move up by one place.
“Hands” would receive an additional one position boost if Rachel Platten’s “Stand By You” also goes recurrent. For that to happen, it would need to land below the Top 10 at the close of tracking; it is currently #10 on the building chart.
