Meghan Trainor’s “NO” Will Also Rocket Into Hot AC Radio’s Top 40

Meghan Trainor’s “NO” is set to debut comfortably inside the Top 40 on this week’s Mediabase pop airplay chart. It will do the same on the hot adult contemporary listing.

The new single, which was released at 10AM ET Friday, received 477 Mediabase-monitored Hot AC spins over the course of the day. Bolstered by “on the hour” airplay promotions and the excitement associated with a new Meghan Trainor single, the count positions “NO” at #33 on Mediabase’s building chart. The building chart measures airplay for the first six days of the February 28-March 5 tracking period.

“NO” will not receive as many spins on Saturday, but it will have no trouble remaining in the Top 40. It should actually move higher before the chart goes final, and an ascent into the Top 30 is not impossible (it would need roughly 150 Saturday spins to make such a jump).

“NO” is the lead single from Meghan Trainor’s sophomore album “Thank You.”
