Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out” On Track For #1 at Pop, Hot AC RAdio

When last week commenced, twenty one pilots’ mainstream breakthrough “Stressed Out” appeared set to reach #1 at the pop and hot adult contemporary radio formats.

Unfortunately, Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” and Rachel Platten’s “Stand By You” held up better than expected at the respective formats, and they retained their #1 positions on the official chart.

Those songs are not likely to stand in the way this week; “Stressed Out,” accordingly, is set to officially go #1 on Mediabase’s pop and Hot AC charts.

“Stressed Out” received 10,889 pop spins during the first four days of the February 21-27 tracking week. Up 1.8% from last week’s count, the tally positions “Stressed Out” at #1 on Mediabase’s building chart.

“Love Yourself” is #2 with 10,682 spins (-1.3%).

“Stressed Out” also leads the building Hot AC chart. It received a format-leading 3,647 Hot AC spins during the tracking week’s first four days; “Stand By You,” which is #2 on building, earned 3,422 (-5.2%).
