Daya’s “Hide Away” Attains Platinum Status in the United States

Daya’s debut single “Hide Away” continues to amass new achievements.

Last week, the song officially went Top 10 on the Mediabase and Billboard pop radio airplay charts.

Thursday, the song officially attained platinum status under the RIAA’s digital singles program.

While the RIAA has not formally added the certification to its website, the artist personally confirmed the news across her social networks.

The platinum honor confirms a US unit total of at least 1 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

Through January 14, “Hide Away” had sold 600,000 paid downloads in the United States.
