The Voice’s Jordan Smith Claims #1 on iTunes; Amy Vachal, Jeffery Austin Also Score Bonuses (Updated)

Update: When the 12PM ET voting deadline arrived, three “The Voice” songs were positioned within the Top 10 of the US iTunes single sales chart.

One was at the very top of the chart.

In reaching that top spot, Jordan Smith’s “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” became the first song to dethrone Adele’s “Hello” since its October 20 release.

Fellow Team Adam contestant Amy Vachal follows at #6 with “Hotline Bling,” while Team Gwen’s Jeffery Austin is #9 with “Let It Go.”

By holding Top 10 positions at the close of voting, the songs will receive the coveted iTunes multiplier bonus. Each song’s iTunes vote/sales count will be multiplied by ten when the results for this week’s “The Voice” round are tabulated.

While only those three songs reached the Top 10, several were positioned prominently at the close of voting. The full list of iTunes positions follows:

Adele’s “Hello” has finally been dethroned on the US iTunes sales chart.

The new leader? Jordan Smith’s “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.”

The song soared to #1 shortly after the Team Adam contestant’s powerful “The Voice” performance.

Certain to remain in the Top 10 through the close of voting at 12PM ET, “Faithfulness” will earn the coveted iTunes multiplier bonus.

Per that bonus, the song’s iTunes vote (sales) count will be multiplied by 10 when factored into the week’s overall results.

While it is by far Monday’s best-selling single, “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” will not be the only bonus recipient. Amy Vachal’s “Hotline Bling” also appears headed for the boost.

As of 2AM ET, the Team Adam contestant’s take on the Drake hit is #8 on the iTunes chart. Since “The Voice” numbers tend to gain steam as Tuesday morning progresses, it should be able to retain its Top 10 slot through the voting deadline.

While not yet in bonus territory, Jeffery Austin’s “Let It Go” (Team Gwen) and Barrett Baber’s “Right Here Waiting” (Team Blake) hold impressive positions at #14 and #18, respectively.
