Chris Young’s “I’m Comin’ Over” Claims #1 on Billboard Country Airplay

While Cole Swindell’s “Let Me See Ya Girl” is the leader on Mediabase’s country radio chart, Chris Young’s “I’m Comin’ Over” takes the #1 spot on the corresponding Billboard Country Airplay listing.

The song, which is the lead single and title track from Young’s new album, was #3 on last week’s chart.

“I’m Comin’ Over” is the sixth Chris Young song to reach #1 on the audience-oriented Billboard country radio chart. He previously topped the listing with “Gettin’ You Home,” “The Man I Want To Be,” “”Voices,” “Tomorrow,” and “You.”

Young learned of his new achievement during Monday morning’s TODAY Show.

“I’m a numbers guy so it’s hard for anybody to get anything over on me when it comes to the charts, but I had no idea that I would find out from Matt Lauer just before I performed on the Today Show,” said Young. “Never have I been told that I have a No. 1 song quite like this, and then for it to happen in the same week that my brand new record released, it was absolutely amazing!”
