Adele’s “Hello” Earns 3rd Week at #1 On Hot 100; Elle King Top 10

Powered by surging airplay and another week of mammoth sales and streaming activity, Adele’s “Hello” earns a third week atop the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.

The result is as unsurprising as that of the past two weeks. The Hot 100 ranks the hottest overall songs in America, and since the song’s emergence late last month, no song has been nearly as hot.

“Hello” also earns another week atop the Billboard Digital Songs chart. It sold 480,000 US copies during its third week of release.

It also tops Streaming Songs (44.7 million weekly US streams) and Radio Songs (145 million weekly US impressions). Not since Mariah Carey’s “Dreamlover” has a song reached the apex of the multi-format radio songs so quickly.

“Hello” is the lead single from Adele’s “25,” which arrives on November 20. Its opening week sales total is expected to easily set the record for a female artist’s album. Some analysts believe it can even challenge the all-time record of 2.416 million, which is currently held by *NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached.”

Also of note: Elle King scores her first Top 10 hit with “Ex’s And Oh’s.” The multi-format hit claims #10 on this week’s chart.

This week’s full Top 10:

1) Adele – Hello
2) Drake – Hotline Bling
3) Justin Bieber – Sorry
4) The Weeknd – The Hills
5) Shawn Mendes – Stitches
6) Justin Bieber – What Do You Mean?
