Sia’s “Elastic Heart,” Major Lazer’s “Lean On” Earn 2X US Platinum Certifications

On October 28, 2015, Sia’s “Elastic Heart” earned a 2x platinum certification under the RIAA’s digital singles program.

On November 2, 2015, Major Lazer’s “Lean On (featuring MØ)” received the same honor.

Under the terms of the RIAA digital singles program, the 2x platinum certification confirms a US unit total of at least 2 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

Since it had not been previously certified, “Elastic Heart” also earned retroactive platinum and gold certifications on that same date.

“Elastic Heart” and “Lean On” reached respective peaks of #17 and #4, respectively, on the Hot 100.
