This weekend’s “Saturday Night Live,” which featured host Donald Trump and musical guest Sia, predictably enjoyed ratings gains.
Per metered market data, the heavily hyped, Trump-headlined episode posted a 6.6 overnight household rating. Up considerably from the 4.2 posted by the Tracy Morgan-Demi Lovato episode on October 17, the number represents the show’s best household performance since January 7, 2012.
That episode, which featured host Charles Barkley, musical guest Kelly Clarkson and a boost from a Saturday night NFL game, posted 7.0 overnight household rating.
Saturday’s “SNL” episode also fared well in adults 18-49. Its adults 18-49 rating was the best in nearly two years.
Based on data from the twenty five markets with local people meters, this weekend’s “SNL” drew a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating. The number, which bests the 2.0 posted by the previous episode, is the best since the 2.9 drawn by the Melissa McCarthy-Imagine Dragons episode on February 1, 2014.
