Alessia Cara’s “Here,” Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” Blast Into Pop Radio’s Top 10

Two weeks ago, Alessia Cara’s “Here” and Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” jointly reached the Top 15 at pop radio.

This week, the songs both enter the Top 10.

Spun approximately 10,087 times during the November 1-7 tracking week (+1,451), Cara’s breakthrough hit leaps three places to #8 on this week’s Mediabase pop airplay chart.

“Same Old Love,” which is the follow-up to Gomez’ chart-topping pop radio smash “Good For You,” also leaps into the Top 10 this week. Up four places, the second “Revival” single claims #10 on the strength of ~9,877 weekly plays.

This week’s spin count bests last week’s by a healthy 1,762 plays. Only Adele’s “Hello” (+4,681), Ariana Grande’s “Focus” (+2,968), Drake’s “Hotline Bling” (+2,256), and Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” (+2,255) enjoyed bigger weekly lifts.

— “Here,” which is Cara’s debut single, concurrently reaches #5 at rhythmic radio. It also retains its Top 20 position at urban radio and enters the Top 40 at hot adult contemporary.

“Same Old Love” remains inside the Top 30 at rhythmic radio and Top 50 at hot adult contemporary radio.
