Chris Stapleton’s “Traveller” Earns Album of the Year At CMA Awards

Chris Stapleton [UMG]

It’s officially time to call the 2015 CMA Awards “Chris Stapleton Night.”

The singer-songwriter, who won for New Artist of the Year and then stole the show during his duet with Justin Timberlake, has also earned the honor for Album of the Year.

The award went to Stapleton’s “Traveller,” which he produced alongside David Cobb.

In addition to Kacey Musgraves’ fellow critical darling “Pageant Material,” Stapleton’s album also topped Jason Aldean’s “Old Boots, New Dirt,” Little Big Town’s “Pain Killer,” and Kenny Chesney’s “The Big Revival.”
