Label Confirms Adele’s “Hello” Drove 750K+ US Sales In First Three Days

Amid conflicting reports about the success of Adele’s “Hello,” label Columbia Records has announced that the lead “25” single indeed drove over 750,000 paid US downloads during its first three days of release.

In doing so, “Hello” has already broken the one-week digital sales record.

Prior to the release of “Hello,” the record of 636,000 weekly US sales belonged to Flo Rida’s 2009 smash “Right Round.”

Already comfortably ahead of that number, “Hello” will continue to widen its lead as the October 23-29 tracking week approaches its conclusion.

— Prior to the release of “Hello,” Adele’s personal high weekly sales mark was 353,000 (achieved by “Rolling In The Deep”).
