The most eagerly anticipated lead single since Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” has officially arrived.
Following several days of restrained – yet powerful – promotion, Adele has begun the launch process for “Hello,” which is the lead single from new album “25.”
The release is of the multi-platform variety. “Hello” today becomes available for purchase, streaming, radio airplay, and music video viewing. Sure to be massive, the combined activity should put Adele’s new single in contention for #1 on the November 14 edition of the Billboard Hot 100 (the positions for that chart will be revealed on November 2 and 3).
“Hello” enters the market four weeks prior to the November 20 bow of the aforementioned “25.” The follow-up to Adele’s blockbuster, Grammy-winning “21,” “25” will likely post the year’s best opening week sales total in many global markets. Despite only a few weeks of availability before the end of the year, it may rank as 2015’s best-selling album.
