Adele’s “Hello,” “25” Soar to #1 on iTunes Sales Charts

Update: Adele’s “Hello” broke the single-day US sales record.
==============

Adele’s new music predictably ignited enthusiasm from buyers, who quickly made her single and album the leaders on the iTunes sales charts.

As of press time, “Hello” is #1 on the US all-genre single sales chart, while the pre-order for new album “25,” due November 20, holds the top spot on the album sales chart.

The same lucrative reality is true within many other markets, including her United Kingdom home.

Anticipated for years but first officially teased this past Sunday, Adele’s “Hello,” which is the lead single from the forthcoming “25,” debuted for purchase, streaming, music video viewing, and airplay on October 23.

The combined activity could result in a #1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated November 14 (the Top 10 for that chart will be announced on November 2).
